My mentality that has helped (before I worked in retail and dealt with hundreds if not thousands of people a day) was realizing that they will probably think about me just as much as I think about them in a few hours. Which is not at all.

There is a little nihilism of “nothing in this conversation matter” mixed with I learned I kind of like people. The vast majority of people are nice.

No shit. I don’t understand how MAGA thinks everyone else was just okay with fraud until Trump was elected. It has been, since inception, designed and continually updated to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.

ADHD, my hobby is collecting hobbies.

I grew being told I was smart. And to be fair, I am. I always grasped things quick and got through school without much effort.

But what it really ended up being was undiagnosed ADHD.

But when I had to really focus and stick with something for an extended period of time I always struggled. Especially when I lost the structure of being forced to go to school every day.

Im 35 this year and I never expected to be able to hold down a relationship, I had flings but nothing stuck. It wasn’t until other things in life going that I rekindled a missed connection from years past. It was only 2 years ago and now she and her daughter live with me.

As for hobbies, I really wish there was a better way to do it than owning all my own stuff. Communal woodshops and auto shops that were more easily accessible. Then hacker spaces for the more niche things. But I know that’s a resource that’s more accessible around cities.

I have one. We still use the plastic bags, but just needed a place to put it that wasn’t “out.”

I like the Slate. Maybe a touch longer in the hood than I’d like. But nice none the less.

Hyundai is finally starting to win me over, I’ve so long overlooked them from their old reputation, but they’ve been putting out some good cars for a bit now.

In the firework industry we use ABS in our mortars because they will stretch and rip if a firework explodes in the tube rather than shatter and turn into shrapnel.

Best PE teacher I had actually made it a class where we had to learn the rules of the games and were given tests on them. Then we spent a couple weeks playing the games and she had the kids acting as referees enforcing the rules we learned. We played basketball, baseball, football, bowling. She taught us different dances like line dancing and square dancing. When it was winter and there was enough snow. We even learned cross country skiing.

Then I moved to a different school and my PE curriculum became "run a mile.’ I have exercised induced asthma. Running was a literal hell for me.

I’d work on cars. And my house. It feels like I’m fighting entropy, I fix one thing and find 2 more problems in the process. But I know some of that is just the previous home owner doing a bunch of diy.

Learn to wood work and build furniture. I have a deep, deep loathing for flat pack furniture.

Garden. I’d love to have a proper garden.

Honestly. I’d just like to be rid of my anxiety over finances.

The national guard can be requisitioned by the federal government. However, the state guard (often trained by/alongside the national guard and sharing members) cannot. They only answer to the governor.

I know we all felt like it was wild when De Santis reformed the Florida State Guard. But now I feel blue states need to do it.

If I were JB Pritzker, I’d activate the Illinois State Guard. They need time to get staffed, trained, and procure equipment.

Or they somehow want to price things off eBay prices. Bro, you are a thrift store. You aren’t some place that should be trying to get the absolute most out of an item.

Price it vaguely on what people might pay for some used, unwashed, beat to hell thing. If someone thinks they can get more by selling it online, that’s fine. That’s on them. You don’t have to compete with them. Turnover of items is more important than the most money on that old glass cup.

I think it’s imperative that blue states activate their state guards and make an immediate push to strengthen themselves.

This is essentially a declaration of war on blue states and blue cities and their leaders and politicians.

I believe that blue states should activate and build their state guards.

As an American living in America. I want to avoid America completely.

This is basically what killed my Linux laptop. Some windows update borked the partitions (and not just grub) so that Linux wouldn’t boot anymore. I would never recommend using both on the same disk.

I don’t really use that laptop for much anymore though.
