Even if it’s a rescue? Maybe breeding pugs (without trying to reverse the damage done to them) is pretty shitty, but I could see rescuing one is fine. I mean, what’s the other option, killing them all?

I’d argue it’s not simple spite. Spite implies it’s an irrational hatred, being a sore loser. The guy is a danger to pretty much everyone.

Well I’d reckon that that 15k is an average. Rich kid schools don’t need fundraising but poor districts do. Oh yeah and the funding for schools comes from local districts so if you live in a rich neighborhood your school is way more funded than if you live in the poor areas, which is why people are obsessed with that info if they have kids and want to move.

Also not all departments get the same funding. The football team gets a lot of the budget but the arts get scraps at best. So even if you’re in an ok school, because of how they spend the money, specific classes might need help.

Why the football team? The games bring in money, people donate because of the local team, and the odd lottery that one of those kids becomes a professional and might help out in the future.

Sounds like you’re spending too much time online and not out talking to groups and people in person. I started volunteering late last year and lefty groups who are actually doing something get along way smoother than people just talking online.

I believe in all gods, much in the same way I believe money, justice, and math exist.

On posts like these, the question to ask yourself is “if I saw a video on the Internet of someone being a dick to a person doing this thing, would they look like an asshole?” If the answer is yes, then it’s fine to do.

Dude, don’t compare yourself to others and just enjoy learning a new language at a pace that works for you. The goal isn’t to learn Chinese the fastest, it’s to learn Chinese well enough that it sticks.

The advertisers are merely a tool for the investors, the people who own everything. The “haves” as it were. They are always at odds with and trying to squeeze money and labor from the rest of us, you know, the “have nots”.
